Photos began circling over the weekend but it has now been confirmed via Banksy's own Instagram account that he has, indeed, planted a tree of sorts in North London. Perhaps in homage of 0331C's work in Moscow years back, the British artist has sprayed an abstraced green pattern behind a barren tree to give the look of the blossoming spring. A change of season, if you will. The addition of the stenciled person with a sprayer is a nice touch as well. Have to admit, sometimes the coverage of a new Banksy piece is some of the best content of the week: the BBC's post with the Google Street view of the tree over the last few years is brilliant.
