This episode of the Radio Juxtapoz Podcast is a Special Edition. It features a distinguished panel and guest moderator, but really stands on its own as a podcast discussion outside of our typical programming. This past week, May 14, 2019, at a live from the Vault by Vans boutique at 219 Bowery in NYC, Juxtapoz hosted a special session with three generations of NYC street photographers: Martha CooperJanette Beckman and Miranda Barnes, guest moderated by author, critic and cultural savant, the one-and-only, Carlo McCormick. We called the panel "Cultural Lens."

This wide-ranging panel of photographers not only explored the craft of street photography and photojournalism but finding one's voice also and a narrative in which to embed your career. From Martha Cooper's landmark Subway Art, to Janette Beckman's legendary hip-hop portraits, to Miranda Barnes's latest works as a contributor to the New York Times, we hear three distinct artists talk about the magical intricacies of photography.

In this podcast, Juxtapoz editor, Evan Pricco briefly introduces the panel, followed by Carlo McCormick and fascinating conversation with the artists.
