Cabin Fever is a photographic display of self-portraiture, but not the usual kind. Within the title, Katie Burnett messes with contrast and composition to vast extremes, meaning that sometimes her imagery becomes unrecognizable. Other times, one can plainly see that her two cats are in the picture, or that she used rubber bands, ramen noodles, sprinklers, and everyday household items to merge into her abstract vision. Moving and making go hand in hand in Burnett's way of working, and she shows the viewer how the medium of photography can be pure joy.
