In another highlight in London this season, the great painter Prudence Flint has a solo show that just opened, Second Lesson, at mother's tankstation. The gallery notes, "We feel we have undoubtedly unearthed something here, in Second Lesson, as a body of work, and as an experience of walking-in, cold, into a collective space where everything perhaps bar us, knows exactly what is going on. A strange eeriness moves around Flint’s perfectly-lined and thoroughly executed walls. " As always, the quiet, serene scenes in Flint's works almost conjure a surreal universe, but completely balanced in a reality that we can all relate to.
