Inner Glow is the first solo exhibition by the Polish painter Magda Kirk with the Yusto/Giner Gallery, a deep exploration of inner strength, vulnerability, and the transformative power of self-love. In a society that often equates strength with toughness and resilience with endurance, Magda Kirk challenges these notions with her powerful statement: “my softness is my strength”. Through her works, Kirk embraces and highlights the silent strength found in self-love and authenticity.

The young artist is immersed in the noise of information and thought patterns of the modern capitalist world, an environment that glorifies perfection and pathologises perfectionism, distorting our body image, self-image, and sense of identity. Magda seeks to be part of this world on her own terms, aspiring to a deeper personal understanding.

In her work, Magda Kirk discovers that true strength lies in being her own friend, supporting herself, and embracing her vulnerabilities with love and kindness. Magda Kirk shows that self-love does not depend on appearance, external achievements, or the approval of others; it is a power that shines from within.

The works of Inner Glow invite us to embrace our vulnerabilities, a task that requires great strength and is essential for our growth as human beings. This approach allows us to develop a positive self-image, face challenges with confidence and resilience, and extend empathy toward others. Self-love, as presented by Magda Kirk, is the energy that helps us see, understand, and connect more deeply with ourselves and the world around us.
