Today we spotlight multi-Juxtapoz cover artist James Jean and his work over the past few years, as we get ready to open "Juxtapoz x Superflat," co-curated by Takashi Murakami and Juxtapoz editor Evan Pricco at Pivot Art & Culture in Seattle, August 4—7, 2016.

James Jean is one of the centerpieces of the "Juxtapoz x Superflat" show, as the genesis of the exhbition began with discussions between James, Takashi Murakami, and Evan in Tokyo in late 2015. And James is one of the most popular, beloved and talented artists we have covered over the past 22 years. From comics and illustration, to fine art works show around the world, James is a master of his craft, balancing both an East and West aesthetic with a unique skill set that is both figurative and abstract. We can't wait to have him in the show!
