One surprise highlight of NYC's landmark Beyond the Streets exhibition was the Beastie Boys installation featuring the band's unique connection to graffiti and street art culture. From HAZE to Cey Adams, Glen E Friedman to Ricky Powell, the installation collects photos, records, band paraphernalia, fashion, and other accessories representing the manifestation of street art in their music, band design, and overall aesthetic.

Juxtapoz had an in-depth exploration of the Beastie Boys' relationship with art back in June 2013, when we printed an issue dedicated to the NY band. The Beastie Boys themselves took it a step further last year with a full retrospective book and performance tour in support.
