Beautiful Life is the sophomore solo exhibition of Yasuhito Kawasaki at Thinkspace Projects and showcases a dozen new paintings on canvas alongside a dozen new ceramic works. Following a string of sold out showings at art fairs across Asia in recent years, this is a welcome return for another solo showing with us here in the States.
Deftly working with both paintings and ceramics, Kawasaki is known for his trademark works of innocent looking children and their faithful animal friends. While the visuals vary, each is a self-portrait, drawing on some element of himself.
