It is the time of year to look back on what was and get a bit of an idea of what is to come. 2023 will become known as a year of war, of protest, of conflict, and as we look through the pages of the Juxtapoz Quarterly this year, we see a mixture of painters who confront the times with their own version of individuality, duality, comic relief, political poignancy and a search for identity.
